[Our handicappers, Sid Rosenberg and Chris Genske give you their top 2 picks for this weekend... again, purely for entertainment purposes.]
Is this season just blowing by or what? It seems it was just yesterday we told you to watch the Giants, Saints and Colts dominate the NFL season, and here we are through 6 weeks and all three are still sitting in the drivers seats on top of their divisions. Another respectable week providing you with a 1-1 prediction bringing us to 6-2 in NCAA and 7-2 in the NFL on
VegasInsider.com and an overall 67% on BG. And we're looking for more wins. We are targeting some great match-ups again so good luck this week!
Saturday – South Florida Vs. Pittsburgh
South Florida had its bubble burst in a primetime home game against Cincinnati last week, losing 34-17, its first loss of the season after a 5-0 start. They were fortunate to cruise through their first five games due to an easy schedule even though they beat up on FSU’s weak defense.
Pittsburgh has done something they haven’t done in years... and that’s score points. They are averaging 33.3 points per game on 387 total yards per game of offense. Look for the Panthers to roll their fourth straight Big East win – PLAY ON PITTSBURGH
Sunday – Green Bay Packers Vs. Cleveland Browns
Can you say the “Pack” is back? Green Bay destroyed
the Detroit Lions last week beating them 26-0. That included 358 yards passing by Aaron Rodgers for 2 TD’s. Green Bay traditionally plays well on the road with a 2009 record of 1-0 ATS as a road favorite of 3.5-7 points, and over the past 2 seasons are 2-0 as favorite. Additionally 11-6 ATD over the past 2 years on the road overall. On the flip side the Browns are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games and are a complete disaster. Lay the points and watch the Packers win easily by double digits! - PLAY ON THE PACKERS
