Nothing's hotter than a girl who likes spice, so for your Fourth of July celebration make sure there's a couple of dishes that'll add some fuel to her fire.

Depending on who you ask, both coffee and tea claim to be second only to water as the most consumed beverage worldwide. Both claim that half the US population drinks at least one cup daily. And while both claim to have health benefits, tea is generally thought as the healthier of the two. Which one really is better for you? That depends.

Caffeine -
According to figures from the Center for Science in the Public Interest, a typical 8 oz cup of coffee has about 133 milligrams of caffeine, a Starbucks Grande about 320 mg. A typical 8 oz cup of brewed tea has about 53 mg, with Snapple bottled teas containing ...More

There's no better way to celebrate the Fourth than with a ton of fireworks, meat searing over a fire, and plenty of adult beverages to drink. (Fire, explosives and alcohol. It's a wonder any of us make it to the 5th alive.)

For the next four days I'll bring you special Fourth drink recipes to help you get the celebration rolling. Today's are from UV Vodka, an award-winning American vodka made from mid-western grains and purified Minnesota water. We're using their UV Blue, which is flavored with raspberry (makes perfect sense), and their UV Cherry, which is flavored with, well, cherries. Enjoy. ...More

If dragging a razor across your wiry field of stubble every morning leaves your skin red, irritated and ripe for ingrown hairs (which keeps your girl from wanting to get close), slide a little Triple Benefit Post-Shave Remedy on your face, après-rasage. (That's French for "after shave".)

Designed for those of us with thick and/or curly beards who tend toward razor bumps (and those of you who are forced to wear tight collars and ties everyday), this fragrance-free gel treatment from Lab Series hits you three ways: relieving and preventing ingrown hairs, soothing that irritation and redness from razor bumps, and working to soften beard hair to make shaving easier on your skin. (I'm not even asking what's in there that does that.) ...More

I used to do product development for a large mail order company. Part of my job was to get my name on every available mailing list so I could keep up with what was going on in the marketplace. And I kept up. With hundreds of flyers, catalogs, and other various junk jamming my mailbox every week.

That was acceptable then, but it isn't now. My mailbox is almost as jammed as it was back in the day, and I toss about 80% of what lands there. While I'm not a flannel-shirt-and-sandal-wearing tree hugger, I do care about the tremendous waste generated by all this. So I signed up for GreenDimes. ...More

Next week you'll be knee-deep in fireworks displays and Fourth of July barbecues. If you're celebrating at your place, odds are you're gonna have some food guests can grab before the grilling hits full swing. I'm guessing you're thinking chips, veggies, maybe pigs in blankets. Peel-and-eat shrimp if you're going all out this year. (And the hot girls from the office show up like they promised.)

Not cheeseburgers, though. They, unlike their party partner hot dogs, are all main dish. Even the little "sliders" don't show up before the fire gets rolling. Not wanting franks to get the double duty glory, burgers have now muscled their way into the pre-grill part of the party.

Cheeseburger Bites are ravioli-sized pasta pockets filled with ...More

Test your knowledge with this quick quiz. Decide if the phrase is a technique from Kung Fu, or a sexual position from the Kama Sutra.

Come on. You're not afraid of a little test, are you? Unless you think you need a little education in both...

A lot of us skip Mondays at the gym because it's jammed with everyone who ate and drank all weekend like they were going to the electric chair. And now they're trying to reverse the damage. In one day.

The problem is getting a decent workout at home, unless you have enough space for a lot of equipment. Which most of us don't. (Or you give everything double duty, like using a bench for a coffee table and hanging your shirts to dry on the lat pulldown.)

A Navy SEAL commander thought the same thing. His guys needed to stay in top shape - but since there are no gyms on the front lines, and hauling a leg-press machine across the desert is a little impractical - he developed a way for them to train using just their body weight and gravity. ...More

Ever forget to pack shaving cream on a business trip? Or didn't get a TSA-approved 3 oz travel size for your carry on. And got stuck with a two day growth and a sales meeting in an hour? Yeah, me too.

I've found a pretty good solution. The Titan from ShaveMate is a three blade razor with a hollow handle that holds a stash of shave cream - enough for about a week's worth of shaves. Just turn the locking cap to the "on" position and pump. (I'm liking this feature. Saves accidental dispensing.)

I've posted before about vodkas, tequilas and even gins that are infused with the flavors of fruits and herbs. But not all infusions are created equal. Some are more "flavored" than infused, with artificial flavors added to turn that plain vodka into, say, black cherry vodka. It's a little like cheating, but that's a gray area.

The infused spirits from 267 Infusions leave little doubt about where the flavor comes from in their infusions. The all-natural fruit they use is visible right there in the bottle. Making for an incredible visual, as well as creating flavors that are more intense than anything you've had before. What you see is what you taste.

A watch serves two purposes for a guy: 1. To tell us the time, and 2. To tell the rest of the world our status. Sad but true.

Most women say they look at two things when they meet us for the first time -- our shoes and our watch. It lets them know how far up the ladder we are. (And is also why business is brisk for guys selling "Rolecks" watches for $20 on the street corner.)

Out of Italy comes the newest status symbol watch, the U-Boat. Big (45-53 mm in diameter as opposed to the usual 32-35 mm), and hefty (a wrist-buckling 6 oz) the U-Boat was originally designed by Italian watchmaker Officine Fontana exclusively for distinguished officers of their navy's u-boats. ...More

I got an email from a reader this week asking for a little help. Seems he's invited to a pool party this weekend and everyone invited is required to bring a homemade "snack". Not a main dish. Not dessert. A snack. (I'm assuming they want finger food that's easy to eat without having knives and forks around the pool.)

He's never cooked before. And there's going to be a lot of single women there he'd like to impress. But the dish has to be easy.

No problem. The recipe I'm going to suggest is Pigs in Blankets. Before you mock the choice let me tell you I have made this version for every party I have either thrown or been invited to, and it's not because it's the only thing I know how to make, it's because everyone requests that I bring it. Constantly. So I have to make it. Constantly.

It only takes a few minutes to prepare and bakes for about 13 minutes. Quick, easy and people love them. Here's how to do it:

Heading to the grocery store for me usually entails collecting all the scraps of paper where I scribbled down the stuff I need, then walking up and down each aisle while I try to decide whether I wrote "bags" or "eggs". (I usually end up giving up and buying both.)

Lacing up our shoes isn't something most of us spend a lot of time thinking about. (Mostly I just keep them the way they were when I bought them.) But apparently with some people it's an obsession. On the site www.shoe-lacing.com (yep, there's a site for everyone) you can find those people.

They've found there are over two trillion ways to thread a lace through the six eyelets in a typical shoe. Fortunately, they chose only 31 of them to present. If you're looking to an alternative to the typical "Criss Cross" method that most of us use, you can select such exotic lacing methods as the Double Back, the Checkerboard, or the Sawtooth.
