Portable Beer Pong Tables
10/10/2007

A must for any Man Cave is some sort of gaming table: a poker table, ping pong table, pool table, foosball table. But if you're looking to relive your college days (or if you're still living your college days), a beer pong table is the perfect addition.

Instead of assigning your ping pong table double duty, and risking damage from flying and spilling liquids, check out OfficialBeerPongTable.com. They've got eight-foot long "regulation" tables tables designed specifically for pong tourneys, featuring a hard melamine top, re-rack alignment graphics for both six- and ten-cup games, and extendable legs for height adjustment. They also fold flat into a two-foot by two-foot square for storage, which is good because the graphics are a little, um, over the top.

this is a beirut table and it's retarded.

yea its definitely beirut. That isn't even a ping pong sized table they're selling. Thus how could it be beer pong? Beer pong = ping pong table+paddles. Beirut = Any table long enough (such as the one above) and cups.

instead of being a douchebag and "correcting" the author/commentor - why not realize that people in multiple regions refer to the same thing with the same name. everytime you see someone on tv mention football - do you get all hot and bothered and say "NO ITS SOCCER IM GAYYYYYYYYY!"?

you guys spelled bayroot wrong. its named not after the city in lebabon, but after a long flat root thats located near the chesapeake bay in nevada. this is where the game originated, by a group of native indians. they actually used to use the eyeballs of overzealous spectators who would constantly dispute the name of the game, but after the spectators soon discovered the safety and anonymity of the internet, they had to start using ping pong balls. also, if you dispute this, or any fact contained herein, then I am have a bigger wang than you. also, you have too much time on your hands, but i don't because I get paid to post comments on the motherfunkin infernet.

The name of the game is different from region to region so bashing each other over semantics is merely an exercise in wasting time. I'm from Philly and what we call beer pong is what this table is intended for. You play with ping-pong balls and you throw them into a pyramid of 6 cups on each side. I was in Michigan and they called this same thing Bomb Beirut and they called Beer Pong the game you play with paddles on an actual ping-pong table, which I had always called "beer ping-pong" and found it to be not even 1/2 as interesting as beer pong. Beirut, Beer Pong...whatever. The end result will be the same...you'll lose.

I'm from atlanta. I've never heard of beirut. We play beer pong with cups and pingpong balls and you throw them into the cups.

The first time I ever saw someone playing beer pong with actual paddles and hitting it on a ping pong table, was in the movie "Beer Fest". I thought it looked stupid and boring and way too much trouble just to be able to drink beer in a game type situation.

At the University of Michigan we put 10 cups at each end of the table in a triangle, fill the middle cup twice as full as the rest (money cup), and throw ping-pong balls into them....and we call it Beer Pong.

I'm from Chicago, who the hell cares about what you call it. Enjoy the game and stop bickering about what it's called and how you play it. At Virginia Tech we played it with 6 cups and called it beer pong. In the midwest they call it the same and play with 10. Either way I'm getting drunk and enjoying an awesome game.

According to Wikipedia, 77% of the country calls it Beer Pong.
