Calling Dick Tracy - Bluetooth Watches
06/15/2007

Sony Ericsson just released three new Bluetooth watches that'll let you to control your mobile phone from your wrist. Not exactly like Dick Tracy's watchphone... but getting closer.

The Fossil-designed MBW-150 watches vibrate when you get a call or text message (which I guarantee will happen just as you take that first sip of hot coffee from an overly full cup), lighting up a discreet OLED display with caller ID. A button on the side let's you reject or mute the call. Or you can choose to take the call by using your headset, handsfree or phone.

If you're using your phone to listen to music, you can use the MBW-150 as a remote control whether your phone is on the other side of the room or if you're using it to listen to your music via your home speakers. View tracks, adjust the volume, change the song or switch your music off, all from your watch and without getting out of your chair.

Should you actually get out of your chair and move out of range of your phone, meaning you have the potential to leave it behind and lose it, the MBW-150 will vibrate to alert you. (Something I wish I had in March when I dropped my phone in a parking lot.)

The line includes the Classic Edition with premium leather strap and black face (pictured), the Executive Edition featuring a stainless steel band, and the Music Edition finished in black with orange details.
