So Samsung came out with this great new 14.2 megapixel camera -- the
SH100 that does all kinds of things, like let you edit pics and movies in the camera and upload them directly to your social media accounts from the huge touchscreen on the back -- and to promote it, they are doing a
Coast to Coast Photo Post on Facebook. And guess who they chose to be one the people they photograph on this cross-country road trip in a silver Airstream? Yep. Me.
So they flew to sunny South Florida and gave me an SH100 to shoot stuff around Fort Lauderdale where I live. You can see some of the pics
here,

When you get there, make sure to "like" my pics. The person with the most likes gets an all-expense-paid trip to NYC to see photos from the event hung in a gallery. (You actually have the power to turn me into art.) Just head over to those links above, or Samsung's
Facebook page and vote. You can also see pics other writers, bloggers and various semi-famous people have taken. (But seriously, vote for mine.)
And look for

Say you're spear fishing. You've got your spear in one hand and catch bag in the other, and you want to grab a pic of the shark headed your way. Not exactly the time to be searching for your underwater digital. Which is where The Only Digital Camera Swim Mask comes in handy.
If you're looking to grab shots of marine life around the reef, or bikini-clad hotties at the lake, this 5-megapixel camera housed in a dive mask operates to a depth of 15 feet, with a built-in memory that can handle up to 30 high rez photos or 52 seconds of video. (A microSD card slot let's you expand the memory.)
The mask’s eye pieces are made of tempered glass and have crosshairs you use for lining up perfect shots. An LED inside the mask tells you whether you're in picture or video mode before you press the shutter button. You get hands-free aqua pics without the worry of dropping an expensive underwater digital to the bottom of the ocean.

The new Casio pocket-sized digital packs a lot of stuff into a small body.
Capture all your best, and worst, moments at a big, high-rez, 10.1 megapixels, while the anti-shake feature keeps your shots sharp. No matter how drunk and wobbly you are. And the super bright 2.6" LCD monitor makes it easy to ensure you're framing the shot right, in mid-day sun, or a low-light club. (You'd hate to key in on the bachelor, only to cut off the strippers' heads.)
Tired of fuzzy faces? The Face Recognition software focuses in on the person you intend to shoot, not the big tree behind them. And for you budding paparazzi, the quick performance feature can track your subject until the shutter is pressed, giving you a sharp shot, no matter how fast they are trying to elude you.
A big plus is Casio's MPEG-4 H.264 video compression and exclusive YouTube Capture Mode software. If you think the video of your buddy, drunkenly hitting on what you are positive is a guy in a leopard print dress and bad wig, is the next big viral video sensation, the Z1080 lets you capture about 1.5 times more video with the same memory capacity and pic quality. But for true shaming convenience, the Youtube capture software allows you to upload the incriminating video right from the camera to the Youtube servers,

Last week SANYO announced the release of the world's first waterproof camcorder. In their words, it's "built for family fun above and below water." I'm confused. Using it a the beach? Sure. For boating, fishing and during dive trips? Of course. But what kind of "family fun" takes place underwater? Nobody buys a $500 camcorder to film their baby reenacting the cover of Nirvana's "Nevermind".
In any event, this technological wonder has the ability
