In case you've missed those (almost sad) commercials featuring retired athletes announcing their comebacks due to how great they feel, now that they've changed their footwear, let me clue you in: Active footwear that engages muscles as you walk is the new hot thing in athletic shoes.
But do they work? Absolutely. As long as you don't mind walking around in shoes with soles that look like you raided the ortho closet at your grandfather's assisted living facility. And that's too big a price to pay for me... until
FitFlop sent me their new
Supertone M shoes.
Hidden in the average-looking sole of these stylish leather and suede shoes, is their biomechanically engineered, muscle-loading Microwobbleboard midsole, designed to

I love everything about golf: Being out of the office, hanging with my buddies for a few hours drinking beer and shooting the shit, the flirty cart girls, the self imposed "No Cell Phone" rule, even walking through the woods looking for my ball...
The only thing I don't like is the ridiculous "golfer's tan" you get after spending 5 hours in the sun wearing a golf shirt. Which is just sexy as hell for your date the next night.
Well the shirt engineers over at Woolrich John Rich & Bros, have us covered. Literally. They've developed the first ever tanning polo, made of a special piquet cotton that blocks harmful UVB rays, while letting the UVA rays pass through. Giving you an all-over tan, without tan lines. Or risk of sunburn. So you can end your date with looking like you're wearing a skin shirt to bed.
$145. Available at Bloomingdale's nationwide.

Don Dante Clothing is a new apparel line that launched recently. And to set themselves apart from the dozens of other apparel lines that have launched recently, they've got top artistic talent contributing designs to their line.
Take the two shirts pictured. The one on the left is called "Yo Station" and was designed by New York street artist, Cope 2. Besides creating art for apparel, he's also lent his talents to TV, video games and even did a famous Newsweek Magazine cover.
The other shirt "True Playa" was created from the original artwork of Darren Brass, one of the most highly sought-after tattoo artists, and you may know him as one of the artists who has to deal with Miami tattoo shop owner, Ari, on TLC’s
Miami Ink.
All Don Dante shirts are made in the US and feature double wide hems with a pretty cool hidden inside pocket on the side. You know, for stashing subway tokens, spare change, chicks' phone numbers, and whatever else you can fit into a tiny pocket...
To let you experience these designer shirts for yourself, I'm giving away one of each of the shirts pictured. And all you need to do to be the most stylish guy on the block, is
enter your email addy here. And on Monday, March 22, I'll pick the two winners. Who gets which shirt is up to me and completely random. Or I could put them in a ring and let you guys fight it out. Whichever works.

It's an inspired pairing of Cornholio stupidity and promotional genius... these zombie shirts are being given away - free - at Comic-Con by CapCom to promote Resident Evil.
It'll turn you from mild mannered cubicle dweller into a brain sucking zombie with the flip of the front.
And it actually made me consider going to Comic-Con just to get one. For about 4 seconds.

"Wanna know if a guy is well-dressed? Look down." -- George Frazier
It's true. A man is often judged by his shoes. Women readily admit to this. And watch the interviewer's eyes track down the next time you're on the job search.
And since a good pair of quality kicks can be a pricey investment, you're gonna want to make sure they last as long as possible.
So I spoke to Fred Reali, master clothier and style expert at
Hamilton Douglass Clothiers. He's the guy high-powered execs turn to when they need to get outfitted with everything from custom suits, to one-of-a-kind ties, to the dress shoes that announce their status to lesser men.
Here are his tips for keeping your wing-tips tip top:
Like man's best friend, if you love your shoes and take good care of them, you'll be repaid with years of loyal service. There's a huge return on a gentleman's investment in acquiring and caring for a few pair of fine footwear. While they may not last a lifetime, with proper care and routine maintenance you can log substantial miles and years in a good pair of shoes.
Consider these pointers for extending the life of your loafers or beefing up the performance of your brogues:
1. Invest in the best footwear you can afford - and re-sole and re-heel them as necessary, just like routine maintenance on your automobile. Regular tune-ups and even re-crafting over time will restore and extend the youthful vigor of your favorite shoes.
2. Always rotate your shoes, allowing at least a day of

From the Technology We Didn't Know We Needed Department...
Still using that velcro strap on the back of your hat to adjust the size for a perfect fit? Loser. That's so 2008.
The latest (and most full-on ridiculous) hat technology comes from
Nobis and their new Caps_Lock. Here's how it works: there's a dial on the side of the hat that you turn, controlling an adjustable headband concealed inside the hat, creating, and I quote, "perfect closure and tension around heads of various sizes."
Perfect for those of you with a head of various sizes.
The real genius behind the technology is that you can easily adjust the tightness of your hat "on the fly" for such emergency hat situations as, and I'm quoting again, "varying conditions such as wind and temperature, tightening the headband for a more secure fit in wind, or loosening it in hot weather to increase airflow."
Try that with your plastic thing that snaps together.

If you're lucky enough to score a job interview, you're going to want to be wearing a tie. Even if it's for a job that requires you to wear a name tag, or where Casual Friday is the norm. And if the only ties you've got in your closet have piano keys or cartoon characters on them, you gonna want to update your tie selection.
To do that, without breaking what little bank you have left, go to
TheTieBar.com. They've got a collection of hundreds of 100% silk ties, in a variety of colors, patterns and even widths, for just $15. Not cheap, crappy designs either. We're talking current styles, current designs. And you can grab any tie, any style, for fifteen bucks. Less than you'll spend on a couple of those appletinis your girl likes to drink. And they'll even ship them to you for a flat rate of $5.99.
So you can tie one on during the week, for a lot less that you spend to tie one on over the weekend.
