Were entering the home stretch for the NCAA college football season, and by now you probably have noticed that the NCAA basketball season has kicked off. Early season advice: sit back, and watch and learn and get ready for February/March tournaments. In the meantime we have some Bowl games to chase and in the NFL some divisions to be won. Saturday – Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Michigan State Spartans
The Penn State Nittany Lions and the Michigan State Spartans will both be gunning for a victory on Saturday when they meet at Spartan Stadium. Oddsmakers currently have the Nittany Lions listed as 3-point favorites versus the Spartans, while the game's total is sitting at 47˝.
Penn State has been impressive this year straight up with a 9-2 record, but against the spread they are 4-6 on the season. And this is the first time all season they have been favored by 3 or less, while the Spartans are -2 ATS on the season as a +3 dog. Penn State is 12-4 straight up against Michigan State since 1992... look for a LOW scoring game with a PENN STATE VICTORY, LAY THE POINTS AND PLAY ON PENN STATE TO COVER.
Sunday – San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers
The San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers will both
be trying to pick up a win on Sunday when they battle at the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. Oddsmakers currently have the Packers listed as 7-point favorites versus the 49ers, while the game's total is sitting at 42.
The 49ers have come back to reality a little after starting the season out hot while the Packers are still working to rebound after some tough losses. They started last week beating up on the Cowboys by beefing up the defense and some amazing turnovers by Woodsen to shut down Romo’s offense. San Fran is 4-5 SU on the season, but an impressive 7-2 ATS and 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games on the road. Green Bay has dominated the 49ers over the past 15 years, but the 49ers play tough against conference opponents – Take the points – Green Bay wins, but don’t cover the spread - PLAY ON SAN FRANCISCO
