DZR Cycling Shoes: Urban Style with SPD Compatibility

If you’re spending your weekends bombing down mountain trails or dodging traffic Monday through Friday riding to work on your bike just to be “green,” you know the advantages of using an SPD clipless bicycle pedal to keep you connected to your ride.

The five shoes in the line deliver SPD compatibility with a variable-flex inner nylon shank and strategically placed “stiffness” in certain areas of the shoe for optimum power transfer. And for night rides, there’s a 600 luminosity reflective badge on the back.

They sent me a pair to try, and while I’m not a hardcore cyclist (truthfully, I’m not even a softcore cyclist, I prefer my two-wheelers to be gas powered), I was surprised not only at the style, but at how comfortable they are when not clamped to a pedal. They flex at the right spots, and don’t feel like your walking on a metal clamp every step. Or trying out for a chorus line by showing off your tap skills.
