Micro Home Theater System
06/06/2007

Looking to get big home theater sound in a small home theater space?

Next month Sony will introduce the DAV-IS10 micro home-theater-in-a-box, featuring five speakers each about the size of a golf ball. The complete system comes with a compact, single disc DVD/CD player/receiver , and a unique subwoofer that helps the tiny speakers create sounds more typical of full size speakers.

It's also got 450 watts of total system power, a Bluetooth receiver to connect Bluetooth-enabled devices to the system, audio docking stations for your iPod or Walkman, and features Sony's BRAVIA Theatre Sync technology, which uses your HDMI interface to communicate with select BRAVIA TVs. The DVD/CD player can upscale DVDs to 720p or 1080i output, and it has touch sensitive controls that illuminate and disappear on touch for navigating DVDs and CDs, perfect for when you lose the remote.

When it hits Sony Style stores and www.sonystyle.com in July, the DAV-IS10 will run you about $800.
