Nothing's hotter than a girl who likes spice, so for your Fourth of July celebration make sure there's a couple of dishes that'll add some fuel to her fire.

And I don't mean just add some hot sauce to the onion dip. I'm talking recipes with the heat cooked in. For that, you need to bring in the big guns. ...More

Next week you'll be knee-deep in fireworks displays and Fourth of July barbecues. If you're celebrating at your place, odds are you're gonna have some food guests can grab before the grilling hits full swing. I'm guessing you're thinking chips, veggies, maybe pigs in blankets. Peel-and-eat shrimp if you're going all out this year. (And the hot girls from the office show up like they promised.)

Not cheeseburgers, though. They, unlike their party partner hot dogs, are all main dish. Even the little "sliders" don't show up before the fire gets rolling. Not wanting franks to get the double duty glory, burgers have now muscled their way into the pre-grill part of the party.

I got an email from a reader this week asking for a little help. Seems he's invited to a pool party this weekend and everyone invited is required to bring a homemade "snack". Not a main dish. Not dessert. A snack. (I'm assuming they want finger food that's easy to eat without having knives and forks around the pool.)

He's never cooked before. And there's going to be a lot of single women there he'd like to impress. But the dish has to be easy.

No problem. The recipe I'm going to suggest is Pigs in Blankets. Before you mock the choice let me tell you I have made this version for every party I have either thrown or been invited to, and it's not because it's the only thing I know how to make, it's because everyone requests that I bring it. Constantly. So I have to make it. Constantly.

It only takes a few minutes to prepare and bakes for about 13 minutes. Quick, easy and people love them. Here's how to do it:

Tabasco's newest sauce isn't just the original with some artificial flavor added. It's made with red jalapenos that have been smoked over an open pecan wood fire. Giving it a smoky flavor with a moderately spicy bite. Perfect for using in marinades, sauces and salsas.

Here's a recipe for an easy Chipotle-Honey Marinade that you can use this weekend when grilling pork, ribs, or chicken. ...More

I wanted to leave you with something different this weekend. And it doesn't get much different than a recipe for Barbecue Spaghetti.

This recipe comes from the award winning book, "Peace, Love and Barbecue", co-written by competitive barbecue legend Mike Mills.

Mike's a four-time World Champion in the rib category. And he's the only three-time World Grand Champion of Memphis in May, considered by many to be the granddaddy of barbecue competition. He's also got Top Secret Security Clearance to board Air Force One, because when the President wants barbecue, he calls Mike. So if Mike says it's ok to barbecue spaghetti, I'm not going to argue with him. ...More
