Quick, go turn on ESPN. I’ve got $20 that says they’re talking about LeBron James’ new Nike ad. Because that’s all they’ve been talking about all day. And online viewings of the spot have damn near broken the Interwebs. (Meaning Nike just got millions in free ad placement. Kudos, Nike, you’ve done it again.)
In case your cable is out, or you got talked into taking your girl’s ferret to the vet, the spot shows James, in the same shirt he wore during the infamous “Decision” show where he publicly pooped on the city of Cleveland, asking us “What should I do?”, then launching into a series of different possible choices he could’ve made. Along with giving a dig to Charles Barkely. Which is like poking a cranky grizzly with a hot stick. So we can’t wait to hear the sound bite-laden response from Sir Cumference during his NBA season-opening broadcast tonight. I say they just settle it on the court. Sponsored by Nike, of course.
