Free Flags in Honor of Memorial Day - If You Don't Fly One the Terrorists Win
05/23/2007

Sorry. I was temporarily possessed by Bill O'Reilly. AmericanFlags.com announced today they will immediately begin offering visitors to their site a free American flag, normally priced $19.95, to help "honor and give thanks to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who continue to risk their lives -- sometimes paying the ultimate price -- in order to ensure the peace, safety and prosperity of their fellow Americans," said AmericanFlags.com President/CEO Jeffrey Reynolds.

The 3' x 5' flags are made of weather and fade resistant polyester, and have grommets to make hanging easy. To claim your free flag, click here.

Two things I noticed on their site: 1 - You do have to cover a $5.99 shipping and handling fee, (nothing is ever really free), and 2 - they say to "allow 1-2 weeks for shipping on two flags and 3-4 weeks for one flag." Considering Memorial Day is this weekend, you might not be flying your free flag until the Fourth of July. Something to keep in mind when ordering.

[I posted a story about this when they had the same offer last year. But it was worth repeating.]
