Gas prices are still over three dollars a gallon in most places, and inching closer to $4 in some. Driving around looking for the cheapest prices just burns more gas, wasting more money.

Launched in April of this year just for the members of AAA, it's now available to everyone, with AAA's full endorsement (which helped alleviate the "scam" sensors that when off when I first heard about this).
Head over to
www.freemobilefuelfinder.com, enter in an email address (I'll let you know if my daily spam goes up), your mobile number, zip code and preferred fuel grade, and you're registered. When you're on E and searching for the cheapest gas, call their toll free number, enter the zip code of where you are and, after you listen to an ad (they have to make money somehow), they'll send you a text message listing the lowest priced stations in your area.
I gave it a shot and got back two choices... one for $3.01 per gallon and the other for $3.20. A 19 cent difference. Not a bad savings when you're filling the tank on an SUV.
