No question the Bloody Mary is a great Sunday cocktail. But this Sunday you'll want something with a little more punch. Like a Bloody Hun.
It's made with Zwack, a Hungarian spirit with an intense herbal flavor, and a name that sounds better suited on lip gloss for 12-year-olds.
Known as Unicum in Hungary since 1790, it's made with over 40 herbs and is aged in oak casks for at least six months before bottling, giving it a dark amber color and a taste that's hard to describe. But throw it in with some bloody mary mix, and you've got a perfect game day cocktail.
Bloody Hun
1.5 oz Zwack
3 oz bloody mary mix
1 stalk celery
1 pinch pepper
1 pinch salt
Fill a tall glass with ice. Combine Zwack with bloody mary mix, salt and pepper to taste, and stir well with celery stalk.
