Well, it looks like the holiday season has officially started, and the turkey hasn't even hit the oven yet.

"Gears of War 2", the first big game release of the season, launched yesterday with a midnight sale at over 20,000 stores in 20 countries (10,000 in the US alone), and a party in LA with the stars of "Chuck" and "Heroes". Let the holiday promoting begin...

In 2006, "Gears of War" sold over 5 million copies, and this one is geared up to break that number. If you've got an XBox, and love blowing virtual shit up, this is for you. there's the standard version for $60 and a limited edition for $70. And you can check out the preview video below.
