Who doesn't love a good explosion? Eepybird, the lab coat and goggle wearing guys who brought you "Experiment #137", the YouTube hit featuring dozens of Mentos-fueled Diet Coke eruptions, are headed to Cincinnati, OH this weekend to attempt a Guinness World Record.

According to the release: "Eepybird, with the help of about 500 Greater Cincinnatians equipped with the new "Mentos Geyser Loading Tube," (anyone else smell PR stunt to sell "loading tubes"?) will launch the largest number of Mentos Geysers ever to be set off all at once in one location... setting the first-ever Guinness World Record for "Most Mentos and Soda Fountains". (This just in: Not to be outdone, Cleveland has announced they will attempt to set their own geyser record for Opening the Most Shaken Cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon".)

The 500 registered participants will not only become a part of Mentos Soda Fountain World Record History, (and experience all the fame, glory and groupies that go along with being a "Most Mentos and Soda Fountains" World Record Holder), but they also get a nice goody bag stuffed with candy, the new Mentos Geyser Loading Tube, goggles and a rain slicker.
