I have to admit, as a big Food Network fan, I wasn't a fan of Guy Fieri when he started. Mostly because he made it through a reality show, (huge negative right there), I didn't know if he had any real skills. And of course, there's the hair.
But after checking out a couple of his shows, and being a diner, drive-in and dive guy myself, he won me over. More so now, since I just got this info on his new "Knuckle Sandwich" knives.
Far from the typical, boring black-handled knives you see everywhere, these were made completely with the guy cook in mind. The guy cook who's looking for something bold, loud and badass to slice his steak with.
The knives - an 8" Chef knife and a 5 1/2" Utility knife - feature an inlaid black and red flame and star design on the handle, a tribal flame etched on the blade, and a meat tenderizer called the Crusher on the butt end of the Utility's grip... you know, for pounding meat.
The blades are made from high-carbon stainless steel for durability and lasting edge. And the handle has been ergonomically designed to keep you comfortable while you slice and dice.
They won't be available until around November, but you can pre-order the set now, online
here. And add some rock and roll style to your kitchen.
Chef Knife - $76
Utility - $45
