You could say it was love at first Tweet. The first time I ever heard from Canadian-born model Candace Rae, she offered to buy me a beer. (Which I am still waiting for...)

Candace was born in Winnipeg, but she's a fearless world traveler who has lived in Bermuda, Malaysia and Australia, telling me, "I've yet to make a permanent home anywhere, so the suitcase and I are healthy friends." (Note to Candace: You and your suitcase are welcome at my place any time.)

Her sparkling, let's party personality and zest for life comes from having been told by doctors, at a young age, that she wouldn't live to see her 30th birthday because of a blood infection. "I was determined to make it out of that bed," she said. "I realized that people should embrace life with positivity because you just don't know when your life could end."

And she has definitely embraced life. She's the kind of person you need gallons of caffeine to keep up with.

Besides being a popular face at Playboy.com's Girlwatcher feature (she appeared three times in 2009), she's also a spokesmodel for Lady Pink energy drink, is appearing later this year in a campaign for Case Construction, had two features in the Australian edition of Men's Health, became a spokesmodel and CEO of MissOnline.com (an online community for models, their fans and photographers), and her video chats are consistently top-ranked on BlogTV.com. Oh, and she launched CandaceRae.net, and is set to design her own line of lingerie. (There's a catalog mailing list I want to be on.)
