Yeah, I know, a little late to the game with this... but a few of you have been asking on the Twitterverse what the hell the deal is with those cartoon icons.
Here's the deal: They're part of a viral promo for Mad Men, which must be getting ready to fire up their new season. (Otherwise, why all the effort?)
So people have been going to
MadMenYourself.com, choosing hip 60's style clothes and hair, then downloading the result as a Facebook icon, iPhone wallpaper, or desktop wallpaper.
That image up top? That's me on the left having a three martini lunch with Don Draper. Only it's highly inaccurate because:
A - It looks nothing like me...
B - I look like I'm bored to tears, which would never happen at lunchtime, in a bar with Don Draper, and a couple of cocktails...
And C - There isn't a "skirt" to be found. (And you know Draper is a skirt magnet...)
It's probably already way past time to grab one, but if you're bored at work and want to work up a Sinatra-era image of yourself, have at it
here.
I'll be getting back to Draper.
