Remember how much you loved sneaking down to the arcade with a pocket of quarters to send the afternoon playing games? (You know, before we all had hundreds of games right in our living rooms.) Ever miss the simplicity and “retro-ness” of those games? Well, Motorola has brought them back.
They’ve recently launched Moto Arcade, a Facebook app that resurrects three classic retro arcade games by including elements from your friends’ Facebook pages. So now you can not only play your buddies, but literally have them in the game. Here’s how:
In Moto Strike you fly through space trying to shoot down asteroids, enemy ships and a few surprise “androids” and life lines that look surprisingly like that guy your went to high school with.
In Backflip Breaker you’ve gotta clear all of the bricks to get to the next level, along with a few familiar bricks with friendly faces for different power-ups opportunities.
And in Charm Quiz you have to answer questions on which of your friends posted a specific status update, what sign they are, and their exact birthday, etc. I think we’ll leave this one to the ladies…
Top scores are displayed all the time, so besides the joy of blowing up a buddy, bragging rights are always up for grabs. Head to Moto Arcade to get your retro gaming on.
