2-0 Last Week, Rosenberg and Genske Give You Their Top 2 Picks for This Weekend
09/17/2009

NOTE: Our handicappers, Sid Rosenberg and Chris Genske give you their picks for this weekend... again, purely for entertainment purposes. Here's Chris:

Not to brag, but in our inaugural weekend predictions for BG readers, we nailed both betting selections taking two unlikely “dogs” in the Tennessee Titans and Ohio State Buckeyes. Plus, we went 6-2with our NFL weekend picks at www.vegasinsider.com.

To keep our winning streak alive, here are 2 top plays for the weekend including a NCAA Friday Night Lights special and a big Sunday NFL game:

Friday September 18 - NCAA Boise State at Fresno State (ESPN)
For the 1st time of the year the Boise State Broncos will travel outside of Boise, and away from the “smurf-turf,” to play at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno State. Oddsmakers currently have the Broncos listed as touchdown (7-points) favorites on the road. Last weekend Ryan Colburn threw for 289 yards and four touchdown passes, but also had three interceptions, as Fresno State lost 34-31 in an overtime battle to Wisconsin. Boise State is 7-1 ATS in its last 8 games when playing Fresno State and 6-2 ATS as road favorites. Enjoy watching the Broncos in Primetime – Lay the TD and take Boise State.

Sunday September 20 - NFL NY Giants at Dallas Cowboys (NBC 8:00pm)
Let the games begin... After an amazing NFL Week 1 proving that preseason football means nothing, we're faced with one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL: what should turn out to be a battle in the NFC East featuring the NY “Football” Giants visiting the Dallas “America’s Team” Cowboys.

Oddsmakers currently have the Cowboys listed as 3-point favorites versus the Giants, while the game's total is sitting at 44 1/2. There is no question this game will come down to a final possession and drive to determine the overall winner. Something to consider and look at is the total has gone UNDER in 11 of Dallas's last 15 games when playing at home against NY Giants. Not to mention the total has gone UNDER in 5 of the NY Giants last 7 games and 5-10 all UNDER versus division opponents. By now you see the trends, in addition to a Tony Romo injury and minimal WR core at NY... PLAY ON THE UNDER.
