Who doesn't love to party on Halloween? Candy. Cocktails. Chicks in sexy costumes. It's the perfect party night.

In fact, according to Spirit Halloween, a lot of us feel that way. It's the third largest party day in the US - right behind New Year's Eve and the Super Bowl. That's a lot of vampire teeth and candy corn.

And this year, it falls on a Saturday night. Even better. We can load up on the pumpkin martinis and sleep it off all day Sunday. But most years Halloween falls mid week. And let's be honest, dressing up like a pirate and going to a party on a Wednesday night sucks harder than Dracula on a bender. And Spirit agrees.

Which is why they are petitioning for Halloween to be officially changed to the last Saturday in October. From now on. So we can get our monster mash on every year, without having to call in dead to work the next day. Other holidays float - Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Presidents Day - why not one of the biggest party days of the year?
