[Our handicappers, Sid Rosenberg and Chris Genske give you their top 2 picks for this weekend... as always, purely for entertainment purposes.]
Yet another 2-0 week here at BG... and 4-1 in NCAA, and 9-2 in NFL football on
VegasInsider.com last week. Stick with us and you’ll have some extra green in your pocket for the holidays.
If you haven’t looked at the match-ups for this weekend, be prepared. (Must be a full moon for Halloween.) We're seeing some of the largest spreads of the 2009 NCAA season: Ohio State giving 44 points, Boise State giving 36.5, TCU giving 35 and LSU giving 36... Have fun with those. In the meantime below are 2 great match-ups. Good luck!
Saturday – Miami Hurricanes at Wake Forest Demon Deacons
The Miami Hurricanes and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will both be trying to pick up a win on Saturday when they battle at BB&T Field. Both teams had rough losses last week, with Miami losing in OT to Clemson and Wake not able to stop Navy’s running offense.
Navy did not throw 1 pass in the game and utilized the triple option to dominate and control the game on the ground. With Jacory Harris, you won’t see that this week. Look for a prominent air attack followed by a strong running game by Miami. Miami is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games on the road - Wake Forest is 1-3-1 ATS in its last 5 games - and Miami is 3-0 ATS in their last 3 meetings. Lay the TD and PLAY ON MIAMI
Sunday – New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
A Battle of The
NFC East finds The New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles both trying to pick up a win on Sunday when they battle at Lincoln Financial Field. Oddsmakers currently have the Giants listed as 1-point favorites versus the Eagles, while the game's total is sitting at 44.
No matter which way you spin this game, this is this week’s Superbowl. Look for the line to move more in Philly’s direction, as this line is WAY too low. The Giants might have taken a loss against Arizona at home last week (and 2 in a row), but NY is 17-3 ATS in their last 20 games on the road. Additionally, NY Giants are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games when playing on the road against Philadelphia and Philadelphia is 1-4 SU in their last 5 games when playing at home against NY Giants. PLAY ON THE GIANTS
