There are a few things in life that, thankfully, only last 15 minutes. The "fame" of reality TV stars is one, the life span of a GuerrillaMail account is another.
If you're looking for a weapon in the war on SPAM, add GuerrillaMail.com to your arsenal. It's a ridiculously easy to use, temporary email service
that, with one click, generates a randomly named email account that allows you to receive and reply to email for 15 minutes. Then it's gone. Forever. Along with all the unwanted SPAM that comes with "marketers" discovering a valid email address.
Your email is accessible right from the GuerrillaMail.com front page, there's no usernames, no passwords. Just click their reload button until your email appears. Reply to emails right from the same window. There's also a handy countdown clock at the bottom of the page so you'll know when the end is near. And if you need a little more time just click "Give me 15 more minutes" before time expires. (It's the temporary email box snooze button.)
What good is an extremely temporary email account? Say you find a new online service you want to try, and like most sites, they have to send a confirmation link to a valid email address in order to register you. But you're not sure if they're legit. Or if they are going to sell your email address off to whoever has a checkbook. Use your newly assigned temp account to register for the site, click the confirmation link once their email arrives, and after 15 minutes, poof, gone. The spammers send their penis pill come-ons to a dead address and you don't spend half your morning hitting the delete key.
At some point I'm sure sites will catch on and block registering with email addresses from guerrillamail.net, but until then it's a fast and easy way to dodge a deluge of SPAM.
