Staying Hot at 7-3: Here Are Your Top 2 Picks for the Weekend
10/16/2009

[Our handicappers, Sid Rosenberg and Chris Genske give you their top 2 picks for this weekend... again, purely for entertainment purposes.]

Another successful weekend providing nothing but winners here on BG and VegasInsider.com, and we are staring at another highly played weekend.

So far on the season, we have generated a 7-3 record, which is an amazing 70% accuracy rate... generating nothing but cold hard cash in your pockets. This week we're offering up a battle within the ACC, featuring VA Tech traveling to GA Tech, and an NFC West showdown with the Arizona Cardinals playing in the home of the 12th man in Washington at the Seattle Seahawks.

Virginia Tech Vs. Georgia Tech (Saturday 6:00 pm EST)
The Virginia Tech Hokies and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will both be trying to pick up a win in the ACC on Saturday when they battle at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Oddsmakers currently have the Hokies listed as 3-point favorites vs the Yellow Jackets, while the game's total is sitting at 53.

The game is set up to be a spoiler with a home dog looking to cover and to continue to upset the BCS system, but unfortunately we predict this game to be wrapped up by halftime. Virginia tech has both the fire-power and the defense to compete and play with the best, and unfortunately GA Tech is not one of them. Although they have a fantastic running game, as Miami proved with containment they are limited to anything else. Virginia Tech is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech is 17-8 ATS in its last 25 games on the road. Look for the Hookies to dominate in Georgia – PLAY ON VIRGINIA TECH

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens (Sunday 4:05 pm EST)
If familiarity breeds contempt, there should be animosity aplenty on Sunday when the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks meet at Qwest Field. Oddsmakers currently have the Seahawks listed as 3-point favorites vs the Cardinals, while the game's total is sitting at 47. There’s one thing that I know to be fact: Arizona while playing Seattle are lights out. The wrong team is favored here, after the Seahawks defeated the Jaguars 41-0 last week, while Arizona struggled to beat Houston 28-21.

Arizona is 4-1 ATS and 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing Seattle. Look for a good battle in the trenches and redzone by both teams, but at the end of the day the Cardinals will be flying high – PLAY ON ARIZONA CARDINALS.
