We're guys. And sometimes we don't smell as fresh as we should. Which leads to our house not smelling as fresh as it should. Sorry. I think it could have something to do with the fact that a lot of stuff that says it has a "manly" scent are made with things like vanilla, saffron, orange blossom or the downright flowery lavender and jasmine. Or have completely ridiculous names like
Washed Suede. (Was there a focus group where we said we liked to smell like wet leather?) It could also be our innate aversion to potpourri.
Juniper Ridge Western Wild Goods offers a natural solution. Their products are made by wildcrafting - gathering wild plant trimmings like fresh juniper, sage and cedar right from the source, like the Big Sur coast or the canyon lands of the Southwest. They don't add anything else to "sweeten" the scent. It all smells exactly as it does in the great outdoors.
Their most popular products are their wild herb sachets, soaps and incense. Personally I'm not a huge fan of incense, but these are not the oil-based, sweetly-perfumed ones you're used to seeing in health food stores. These give off a pure, clean scent that will freshen the stink in your place.
And their wild herb sachets made from trimmings of Port Orford Cedar, Western Juniper, Douglas Fir and Big Sur Sage, are perfect to hang in your closet to
hide and prevent odors. Nothing flowery or fruity here. (My only beef is do they have to call them "sachets"? Why not something more masculine. Like "scented man bag". Sorry. That's definitely not better. But you get my drift.)
