Summer is almost here and we all remember the fun toys we used to play with as a kid. The one’s we’re not supposed to play with now that we’re grown. Yeah, well screw that.
One summer I remember I was the coolest kid on the block when I showed up with my new Super Soaker. All the other kids had dinky water guns, and they got a huge surprise when I tagged them from what seemed like miles away. Well the Nerf Super Soaker is back, and with a huge artillery to choose from this year. So I decided to give a couple of them a try.
The first one I tested was the Rattler Water Blaster. I filled it up, went outside, and instantly I was ten years old again, sneaking around the side of the house looking for targets. First just hitting trees and rocks. Then to my delight some of my neighbors were out having a BBQ, so I decided to use my buddy as target practice.
As soon as he took a hot dog from the grill I nailed him the back with a sharp spray of water. The pump action on the gun allowed me to get him a few times before he even knew what hit him. I thought he was gonna get pissed, but as soon as I threw him the Bottle Blitz he was in and it was on.
Looking at the size of my gun, the Rattler (pictured left), and the one I let my friend use, the Bottle Blitz (on the right), you could say it was an unfair fight. I say no. The Bottle Blitz shoots just as far, and also lets you prepare for a long fight. Because after your original water holder is out you can use a regular water bottle and plug it right in to the Bottle Blitz, to make for a fast reload of water ammo.
The Rattler goes for $14.99 and the Bottle Blitz for just $7.99. And they’re worth every penny. You can pick them up at major retailers anywhere but for details check out HasbroToyShop.com.
