AskMen.com has once again released their list of the 49 Most Influential Men, as voted by over half a million guys. This year’s list had more than a few surprises. One of which was not — same as every other year — I’m not on it.
Joining me on the “Not On the List” list this year are Tiger Woods, who dropped off after holding the number 30 spot last year, and Simon Cowell, who went from number 5 to “You didn’t make it through to Hollywood.”
My personal favorite addition to this year’s list is Steven Slater at number 48. He’s the JetBlue flight attendant who just had enough, grabbed a couple of beers, and gave us the new phrase for quitting a shitty job: Hit the Slide.
The Top 5 this year are decidedly techie, with Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Apple’s Steve Jobs taking three of the five top spots. Kanye West made it at number 5, no need to storm the stage and grab the statuette.
