This Week's DVD Chick Watchability Ratings
04/24/2007

Night at the Museum - Chick Watchablity Rating: 3 out of 5. Does Ben Stiller ever make an offensive movie? Nope. Unless you find watching a grown man slap a monkey offensive. Or the fact that this movie feels like it was written for 11 year-olds. Harmless first date stuff.

DejaVu - CWR: 3 out of 5. This one's a crap shoot. It's a Jerry Bruckheimer/Tony Scott movie, so they'll be plenty of explosions. But it's also got Denzel and an intelligent script that uses time travel as its plot device. So if she's an Einstein fan who likes to watch things blow up...

Code Name: The Cleaner - CWR: 2 out of 5. If you catch this on late-night cable it's worth it. But a comedy that's light on laughs isn't worth the time or money to rent.

The Queen - CWR: 4 out of 5. Surprisingly, this is not the life story of Elton John. It's an inside look at the British monarch, showing her human side. And it takes place right after the death of Princess Diana, so there's some "behind-the-scenes" scenes relating to the tabloid reports your date ate up back in '97. It may be good to be the king, but apparently it's a bitch to be the queen.
