We all know there's emotional baggage after a breakup. But with the economy the way it is, the financial baggage that comes after a relationship goes south can stick around long after you've gotten over her... and that thing she used to do for you. And most of the time, that financial burden lands on us.

What types of monetary responsibilities do we get stuck with most? The guys over at LeaseTrader.com wanted to know (especially since their typical customer is someone trying to get out from under a lease), so they polled more than 2,000 guys who use their site, and asked them what they were left with after she left.

Here are the top five financial issues that guys said they faced after a breakup:

1. Rent
45% of the guys surveyed said they got stuck holding the lease for the place they shared when they were together.

2. Unwanted Car
39% were left responsible for the payment on a car she was either still driving... or no longer wanted.

3. Credit Card Debt
All that jewelry, clothing, gifts and expensive dinners and trips add up. And after she's gone, 10% of us are still paying for it.

4. Property Damage
This and number 5 only made up less than 6% of the guys surveyed, but even after she threw that final fit, and busted up the place, we get stuck putting it back together.

5. Pet Responsibility
What happens to Sparky when the honeymoon is over? He stays with you.

Looking at the results of the survey, LeaseTraders also noticed that what type of financial baggage a guy was left with, was related to the car he drove. Here's what they found:

1. The majority of Mercedes drivers said their biggest financial headache was dealing with a mortgage when their ex left.

2. The majority of Range Rover drivers said they were left with an unwanted car.

3. The majority of BMW drivers spent the most on expensive jewelry and luxury trips... and have the credit card bills to prove it.

4. The majority of Toyota drivers apparently date women who throw things, as illustrated by their tendency to get stuck paying for property damages.

5. The majority of Lexus drivers were the most sensitive, and left on the hook for financial pet responsibilities.

No word on if the Porsche drivers got stuck paying for the monthly Enzyte orders and the penis pump.
