Ever had a psycho girlfriend? Me too. (Mine was a crazy ex-stripper that took me 8 months, 2 lawyers and $13,000 to get out of my house. True story.)
Not that I ever want to relive that nightmare, but in Comedy Central's new show, "Secret Girlfriend" (launching Wednesday night at 10:30pm ET, right after South Park), at least I'll be able to see some humor in it.
And you guys who have never had the pleasure of dating a true, boil-a-bunny nutjob, now you can. Because with "Secret Girlfriend" you, the viewer, are the star of the show.
You've got two best friends and roommates, Phil and Sam, who are constantly trying to get you laid... a psycho ex named Mandy (that's her on the upper right), who won't let you go and will do anything to keep you... including showing up unannounced wearing nothing but a guitar and a smile... and a new girl, Jessica (the hot blonde on the left), you're trying to keep secret from Mandy. Exhausted yet?
From the clips I've seen (and the "Red Band" preview is below), it looks like there are some good laughs, with a hint of "Sunny in Philly" flavor, and a slew of Kenny Power-esque lines that I'm sure we'll be hearing in bars and clubs nationwide. I'll be watching. But first I'm gonna lock my doors.
