[Our handicappers, Side Rosenberg and Chris Genske give you their top 2 picks for this weekend... again, purely for entertainment purposes.]
Another 1-1 weekend on BG, and trust me when I say a rough one picking Boston College, who had to go to OT to get the victory, and I still have not gotten used to saying the Bengals beat the Steelers. Nonetheless, we're at 4-2 or 67% so far through the young season. Looking forward to another action packed weekend of college and NFL football; let the bye weeks begin.
Saturday, October 3 - Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Illinois Fighting Illini (3:30 pm EST)
The Penn State Nittany Lions and the Illinois Fighting Illini will both be gunning for a victory on Saturday when they meet at Memorial Stadium. Oddsmakers currently have the Nittany Lions listed as 7-point favorites versus the Fighting Illini, while the game's total is sitting at 46. Penn State is coming off a devastating home loss last week in the rain with Chaz Powell throwing for 97 yards and a TD in the loss, while Illinois had a tough time even finding the end zone losing 30-1 to OSU. Look for Penn State to rebound this week and rebound BIG!
Penn State is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing Illinois and Penn State is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games when playing on the road against Illinois...TAKE THE NITTANY LIONS!
Sunday, October 4 - New York Giants vs. Kansas City Chiefs (1:00 pm EST)
The New York “Football” Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs will both be gunning for a victory on Sunday when they meet at Arrowhead Stadium. The NY Giants
continue in their winning ways at 3-0, but keeping things low-key, just like Tom Couhlin likes it... not to mention they do not have to deal with Plaxico’s distractions anymore.
Oddsmakers currently have the Giants listed as 9-point favorites versus the Chiefs, while the game's total is sitting at 42. The Giants and the Chiefs are two trains heading in opposite directions - jump on this game early and watch the Giants win by double digits easily.
NY Giants are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games when playing Kansas City, and are 16-2 ATS in their last 18 games on the road while Kansas City is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games at home and 0-10 SU outside their own division. TAKE THE NY GIANTS!
